Food for thought!

Saturday, October 27, 2012

I came across this the other day and they couldn't have put it in any better way!

"you meeting him/her right after your break-up
him/her being more pleasant than your 'ex'
does not always
A new Relationship"

I'm no Dr. Phil on love but the worse thing will be to jump into another relationship once you get out of one. No matter who did what, if you truly loved that person a sad movie and a night of destroying the pics won't be enough. On the average its a 3 month period lease granted that the ex is nowhere in your sight! if not its a lot harder (and no this is not from experience)
But in those 3 months of sadness we are vulnerable to that guy or girl who lends a hand and gets us coffee cause we're sad..or is just there to listen..sometimes something good comes out of it and other times well, we regret it. And BAM! 2 mistakes in a row..and then we go into a phase and say relationships are not for you etc etc ...
We let ourselves down that way!
Opening up to someone is a process, trusting someone is a process...People Rome was not built in one day! Love takes time to grow and same enough it takes time to heal. Btw if that guy/girl you loved left you or it just didn't work out then honey boo boo they are not yours you were keeping someone else's property! And guess what ?? they just claimed it!
So before you go boo hopping take a while to sit back and think about you're doing...Cause i don't know about y'all, but let me put it this way i've been through my share of and only the thought of it ugh :/.
Relationships once stable are amazing but we don't need one to survive we need AIR!

PS: if you absolutely need a rebound guy at least go with a FIONEEEE one that you could look back at and say hmm i had taste lol  but remember you can't keep having rebound guys to cover up your exes cause then you'll never know where to stop.

Hope i did Dr. Phil a little bit of justice :)
And now back to studying diff eq and circuits! gotta beast this exams tomorrow.

Fitting in!

As much as we dare to be different or try to stand out i still believe somehow someway we have to FIT IN. We have to still in our crazy style or habit appear normal to society or else you are labeled and not in a good way.
I think i'm still in the journey to finding who i really am..i wish there was a camp for that..there probably is but i will go in and come out a month later thinking i know who i am and then totally loose hold of it. So i'm taking my time to find myself. I've had my moments when i'm like..i want a body like that or a belly that or an ass like that ;) but fact is i've gotta embrace my own body and then the love begins from there...Other times O Larty!! this happens alot when i see this person or a someone's blog and i go i so want to dress like that..first of all that means switching my closet lol ain't nobody got time for that or the money..! But what i need to realize is that person has found her style and what she is most comfortable suits her and her figure and no two people have the same i need to find what is me and what defines me..I'm still on that things for sure..i have no appeal for the gothic style so one like that helps anything.
I want to find that uniqueness in me..something that makes me stand out in a crowd. i've known  myself for this long and i'm still finding myself just great! hopefully i'll have it figured out soon lol..i don't want  to be 50 and telling myself i should have searched more or meditated more.
Talking about that, MEDITATION is a good habit something i should do more often. It helps you connect to your inner self and really does put you at ease.
I won't tell you different from what most books or professionals tell you. Find a quiet spot in your house or just go for a walk and stay uninterrupted for 30 mins. Let your mind wonder and your thoughts will start rushing in. Now don't go walking downtown or by a strip of bars lol try going round a really does help.
I like how i'm preaching but this is not something i do. I only meditate when i'm sad or troubled by something. Its a practice i will like to keep up with.
I hope i helped someone out there...And i know i wrote down stuff and possible answers but believe me its a lot harder than the eye meets. Cause i am still on the path of discovering who Crystal really is. If you have it figured out do share to how you got to that point and tell me what makes you UNIQUE?

Some things just don't last forever..

I'm pretty sure we've all had one best friend or good friend that 5 years later isn't so much of a friend anymore..if you haven't, lucky you! cause i've seen most of it and can't wait to see what else life has to throw at me.
Well this all just dawned on me after a good friend i had about four years ago referred to me as 'this chick' lol.. now i don't have a problem with that or anything but it just really told me that the old days where we used to hang out and get into trouble together are over...And I asked myself..where we really friends or is it instances that brought us closer that made us think we were friends...Cause now that I think about it, there was never a time where she had my back in any was mostly getting together to see how we were gonna try and trick our parents into going for parties. we never spoke about our goals or how much we like this guy and hate the other...And I really thought we were friends till now.. funny how the word 'chick' can bring back memories huh! LOL...I tried to keep in touch when we separated but communication is two way thing folks if you're the only one doing the calling..then the receiver really doesn't care about you. So with that particular friend now, its only about saying hi when we meet each other. I guess what i'm saying is people will come and go, some will leave footprints in your heart and others scars. Its either you will learn something from them or from the experience you had with them. Savour the friendships you have now cause as much as long distance relationships are hard, long distance friendships are just as hard.
In all that i still have a friend  no a sister from another mother who has been there from time immemorial till today. I haven't seen her in 3 years but its hard to notice cause we talk and text everyday and skype whenever we have time...So there are some relationships that are meant to last. Oh her name's Azie and I can't wait to go to MN to throw down her 21st. I feel its gonna be pretty emotional.
Excluding her cause she's more of family than a friend, I can count only very few friends that I have. With all my heart I love and appreciate them cause they inspire me in ways that they do not know. (i should do a post on them hmmm ideas!) I know some I probably haven't met and some might forget me in years to come...but for now i'll live in the moment cause some things just don't last forever...#truestory!

Morning Blessings!

I dreamt that I went to Heaven and an angel was showing me around.

We walked side-by-side inside a large workroom filled with angels. My angel guide stopped in front of the first section and said, "This is the Receiving Section. Here, all petitions to God said in prayer are received."

I looked around in this area, and it was terribly busy with so many angels sorting out petitions written on voluminous paper sheets and scraps from people all over the world.

Then we moved on down a long corridor until we reached the second section..

The angel then said to me, "This is the Packaging and Delivery Section. Here, the graces and blessings the people asked for are processed and delivered to the living persons who asked for them."

I noticed again how busy it was there. There were many angels working hard at that station, since so many blessings had been requested and were being packaged for delivery to Earth.

Finally at the farthest end of the long corridor we stopped at the door of a very small station. To my great surprise, only one angel was seated there, idly doing nothing. "This is the Acknowledgment Section," my angel friend quietly admitted to me. He seemed embarrassed.

"How is it that there is no work going on here?" I asked.

"So sad," the angel sighed. "After people receive the blessings that they asked for, very few send back acknowledgments."

"How does one acknowledge God's blessings?" I asked.

"Simple," the angel answered. Just say, "Thank you, Lord."

"What blessings should they acknowledge?" I asked.

"If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead, and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy."

"And if you get this on your own computer, you are part of the 1% in the world who has that opportunity."

"If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the many who will not even survive this day."

"If you have never experienced the fear in battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 700 million people in the world."

"If you can attend a church without the fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death, you are envied by and more blessed than three billion people in the world."

"If your parents are still alive and still married, you are very rare."

"If you can hold your head up and smile, you are not the norm. You're unique to all those in doubt and despair."

Proof that there's a man up there who's got my back. I still smile and hold my head up no matter what so best believe that my life will be fine.
